One book, two POVs
Let’s start at the beginning. Who are we, and why are we here?
After Finja was born, we started a book blog for independently published and multicultural children’s books. As a textbook author and editor, I loved the creative outlet and the chance to introduce my daughter to the written word and world behind the pages early on… Over the years, I wasn’t able to continue to maintain “The Reading Castle”, but books still were a big part of our lives.
When Finja had a hard time finding books that she enjoyed in elementary school, I promised her to get her all the books she wants to read as long as she would read. Well - that led us to multiple full bookshelves… You’ll often find us browsing independent bookstores, leaving with stacks of hardcovers, special editions, and stories we can’t wait to dive into. Let me tell you, it’s amazing when you realize that you and your teenage daughter start to develop the same passion and hobbies!
The idea of this book blog was born. At “Twice upon a time” we will share our favorite reads, reviews from the POV of a teen and a 40-something mom, new releases, and everything else around the world behind the pages.
Together, we explore:

Honest book reviews (sometimes twice, sometimes individually)
Spice levels and age-appropriate romance
